Just released: The 2019 Patriots schedule. Let’s break it down.

The Patriots 2019 schedule was leaked a bit early on Wednesday. On paper it’s a “Tale of Two Seasons” really. Much of the first half of the season is basically made up of bye weeks while the second half could present some challenges.

The Pats raise Super Bowl banner #6 in front of the Steelers. Pittsburgh lost two of the best players in the league and as long as Mike Tomlin is the head coach, the Pats should be favored by a couple of scores.

Dolphins, Jets and Bills all in a row should be three wins. Then the Pats get to play the two bottom feeders of the NFC East in Washington and the G-Men. Next week it’s back to the Jets.

Cleveland presents the first legit challenge in week 8.

At Baltimore might not be much fun in week 9. Then the real bye week falls at a good time to rest up for what will be a challenging second half of the season.

Eagles, the Boys, Texans, and Chiefs look like a month full of battles with playoff teams. Those Dallas/New England tickets might be the most in demand tickets for the entire NFL season.

Once they run that gauntlet, it gets a bit easier.

Fortunately the Pats can slide into the playoffs with some easier matchups with Cincy, Buffalo and the warm blooded Dolphins playing in Foxboro for the last game.

The schedule is below. Anything less than 12-4 for New England will be a shocker to me.

Week 1: vs. Steelers (Sunday Night Football)
Week 2: at Dolphins
Week 3: vs. Jets
Week 4: at Bills
Week 5: at Redskins
Week 6: vs. Giants (Thursday Night Football)
Week 7: at Jets (Monday Night Football)
Week 8: vs. Browns (4:25)
Week 9: at Ravens (Sunday Night Football)
Week 10: BYE
Week 11: at Eagles (4:25)
Week 12: vs. Cowboys (4:25)
Week 13: at Texans (Sunday Night Football)
Week 14: vs. Chiefs (4:25)
Week 15: at Bengals
Week 16: vs. Bills (could be Saturday)
Week 17: vs. Dolphins
