Better Red Sox uniforms: 1979 or 2019? You decide.

The traditional white home Red Sox uniforms have not evolved much in the last forty years. Really longer. And that’s a good thing. I personally think they are one of the best looking uniforms in all of sports. Of course I might be a bit biased. But when you are at Fenway and you see those players on that brilliant green grass it is a sight you’ll always remember.

But while the look as not changed a great deal, there has been a slight evolution.

What do you think about how the players of one of the great Red Sox outfields of all time look? 1979. Rice. Lynn. Evans. I loved these guys as a youngster. Love these uniforms.

Classy and classic.

But today’s players look pretty sharp with the addition of the pin stripes and a slight modification to the font.

The dark hats are a nice touch too.
